Frequently asked questions
14 questions covering the most common mobile app and platform issues.
Try these steps first
These resolve the majority of issues reported from the field. Work through them in order before submitting a request.
Check your connection
Confirm the device has a working mobile data or Wi-Fi connection. Most sync, scanning, and reporting problems trace back to connectivity.
Close and reopen the app
Fully close Patrolr.AI rather than just switching away from it, then open it again. This clears most temporary display and loading problems.
Update to the latest version
Check the App Store or Google Play for a pending Patrolr.AI update. Outdated versions are a frequent cause of unexpected behavior.
Review device permissions
Confirm location, camera, photo library, and notification permissions are granted. Background location must be allowed for live tracking while on shift.
Sign out and sign back in
If your assignments or profile look out of date, signing out and back in refreshes your account data. Make sure any pending work has synced first.
Restart the device
A restart resolves lower-level issues with GPS, NFC, and networking that an app restart cannot.
Contact your supervisor for account and schedule issues
Incorrect shifts, sites, geofences, checkpoints, roles, or permissions are managed by your security company. Your supervisor or administrator has to correct those.
Contact Patrolr.AI Support
If the problem persists after these steps, send us the details using the form below. Include your device, operating-system version, and app version.
Before reinstalling the app: Patrolr.AI caches shift data on your device and syncs queued items when a connection returns. Reinstalling while something is still waiting to sync can affect that unsynced information. Confirm you have a working connection and that your recent work has synced first, and contact your supervisor or Patrolr.AI support if you are unsure.
Feature requests and feedback
The same form handles more than problems. Use it to send general product feedback, request a feature, report accessibility barriers, or file a bug — pick the matching support category so it reaches the right people. We read every submission, though submitting an idea does not guarantee it will be built.
